Are N95 and N99 Masks Washable?
The B201 N95 is designed to be an affordable, disposable face mask and should be replaced regularly. N95 masks are most effective when worn once or twice only. Discard the mask immediately after being used. N95 respirators are not meant to be washed and reused. Under extreme circumstances, the Bielcor N99 mask can be cleaned by approved sterilization. Discard used N95 face masks by placing them in a plastic bag and putting it immediately in the trash. Always wash your hands after handling used masks.
Is the N99 Dust Mask Better Than the N95?

I had the unfortunate opportunity to really put this mask to the test, and it passed with flying colors. I was going to Chicago to care for my elderly mother who was recovering from a fall. I am a physician, my wife is a PhD health educator. We have a great collection of masks, including 3-layer fabric masks my wife has made. Our Bielcor masks are the ones we use daily.
There is slight air restriction—in fact, as should happen with masks, these puff in and out with our respiration, showing they’re filtering. So for walks outside, we may be more likely to use our fabric masks. But indoors, around other people, Bielcor is what we use.
We do re-use these after letting them rest a day or two. I’m sure that sometime, the elastic will wear out, but our masks are holding out OK.
Due to the good fit—even with my having a beard—and the foam around the top, our glasses have minimal issues with fogging.
We’re about to give away some of these to friends and order more.
Only one gripe: Bielcor’s info page says they never charge shipping, but they do. I wrote them about that and never got a reply. But even with shipping, these masks are a good deal, and have been rated as effective by the CDC.

This mask fits perfectly and appears to be highly protective. I’ve tried other N-95 masks and found they placed pressure on the bridge of my nose which was irritating over several hours. I’ve been able to wear this one all day without problems. I highly recommend this mask.

perfect fit. there is no nose clip and there are no leaks, None. The design of the nose bridge is working great. The mask stays firm on the face, the straps are modulated differently for the top and bottom of the head. Truly designed in detail for comfort and efficiency. This is a NIOSH N95 class mask, great filtration and the breathability is surprisingly easy. The price is honest and I applaud Bielcor for keeping it reasonable. I rotate them and usually double with a low resistance cloth mask on top mainly to help keeping the N95 cleaner so I can reuse it after 72 hour rest with more confidence. Gave it a perfect score , well deserved.

Very good mask — glasses do not fog up (what a relief)! Fairly comfortable — however, I have a prominent nose bone and expected there to be a foam cushion there, but no. On the plus side there is no metallic bridge to make that problem worse. If I can find some kind of foam insert for the nose-bone it will I think help a lot.

B201 – There is a lot of open space to breathe, but it is VERY snug and squashes my older skin. I will be donating mine. They hurt my face, and the nosepiece is not adjustable. Read the individual descriptions carefully. There is a Q & A at the the bottom of the page with all the masks, and one of the answers is “Yes! Each dust-proof mask is fitted with a custom metal nose piece that can be bent or shaped to better suit your face for optimal comfort. “. This isn’t actually the case. The masks that DO have adjustable nose pieces do say so in their individual product descriptions. My mistake for making a quick decision.
